The dollar has risen in price. Exchange rates 24 September 2026

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) published the official currency rates for the morning of Thursday, 24 September 2026 of the year. Compared with 23 September, the dollar rate rose, while the euro, British pound, Polish zloty, and Swiss franc fell. This was reported by Hlavkom.

The regulator set the official dollar rate at 44,85, the euro at 51,18 UAH, and the Polish zloty at 11,69 UAH.

Over the week, the US dollar and the Swiss franc rose. At the same time, the euro, the British pound sterling, and the Polish zloty fell.

For reference, the National Bank of Ukraine approved a major update of rules for the insurance sector. The regulator revised the process for authorizing insurance intermediaries in the specialized Register, and also adjusted the requirements for selling insurance and reinsurance products. The novelties are intended to remove bureaucratic obstacles, address existing practical difficulties, and significantly reduce administrative pressure on business.

By the way, 4 September the National Bank of Ukraine introduced into cash circulation a banknote with a denomination of 2 thousand hryvnias. Its introduction, the NBU ties to changes in the economy and the structure of cash circulation. NBU Governor Andriy Pishnyy earlier explained that the need for a new denomination arose from a combination of economic changes. In particular, incomes, prices, and the amount of cash in circulation have risen in recent years.

As reported, the National Bank of Ukraine approved a new package of regulatory decisions to support lending to enterprises and local communities in light of intensified Russian shelling of critical, social, and productive infrastructure. The new rules took effect 5 September 2026 year.
