Russians intentionally hit a DTEK car with a drone in Odesa region: an energy worker killed, a casualty reported

On Friday, 25 September, a Russian drone deliberately attacked a DTEK vehicle in the Odesa region. As a result of the strike, one energist (electrician) was killed, and his colleague was injured. The infrastructure was also damaged.

According to Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper, the tragedy occurred after the air-raid siren was announced, when the workers drove away from the substation. The enemy drone deliberately changed course to target their vehicle.

Consequences of the cynical attack

Sincere condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the deceased. This is an irreparable loss for the entire DTEK family,

The company added that the wounded electrician is receiving medical assistance.

Throughout the day, the occupiers massively attacked civil and critical infrastructure in the region.

In addition to the strike on energists, Russian troops damaged an infrastructure facility and the production-warehouse building of one of the enterprises. As a result of these shellings, three more people were injured. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and law enforcement authorities are recording further war crimes.

As a reminder, Kyiv has been under the enemy’s sights all day. Earlier in the day, due to another attack, enemy drones hit an office building and a warehouse used by McDonald’s. Four people were killed as a result of the strike on the office. Seven more were injured, including a child.
