2 November, about a hundred people gathered near a private house in the village of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka near Kyiv. Information spread on social media that dozens of men were being held by force in its basement.
It later emerged that a unit of the National Guard was stationed in the house, and the commotion was stirred up by a woman who presented herself as the owner of a private ambulance service — and, as journalists found out, is not. She was accompanied by a “driver” who called himself a fighter of a “special unit” on social media, and by court order he has been in SZZ since 2022. Both of them in September actively spread calls to go to Maidan Nezalezhnosti on 3 October and protest for peace with the Russian Federation.
Fact-checkers recognized this incident as part of a Russian information campaign. Suspilne learned more about the people involved.
“Doctor” and “investigator”: who is Valentyna Moloda, who gathered a crowd outside the National Guard house
The actual calls to go to Soniachna Street in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka were spread on TikTok by 49-year-old Valentyna Moloda. On that social network the woman is listed as a “journalist-investigator.” She streamed from the morning of 2 November and claimed that people were being held and tortured in the house on Soniachna. At that time there was no one on the street. On 3 November the videos that had been in the stories format disappeared from her page.

Valentyna arrived on Soniachna Street in an “ambulance” vehicle wearing an emergency medical services uniform. She told journalists she was the owner of the private ambulance company “Med-prestizh.” However, officially Moloda has no connection to it.
According to Opendatabot, Valentyna Moloda is linked to three medical companies. Only one of them has an MoH license: the Kyiv limited liability company “Clinic of Gerontology, Aesthetic and Plastic, Reconstructive Surgery ‘Moloda-Ya.’”
The MoH issued the license to the clinic where Moloda is director and co-founder by order No. 1716 dated 30 September 2023. Moloda showed this order on her Instagram.

According to the MoH licensing registry, the clinic is authorized for obstetrics and gynecology, plastic, vascular and general surgery, anesthesiology, urology, and several other specialties. Emergency medicine is not on the list.
On her Instagram page, where she is signed as “Doctor Valentyna,” Moloda encourages people to book consultations at her clinic.

As of 3 November 2026 the company LLC “Medical Center ‘Prime’,” whose full name includes the words “emergency medicine” and whose director and co-owner is Moloda, did not have an MoH license for medical practice. According to the analytics platform YouControl, the company was registered in spring 2026.
The first post on Moloda’s TikTok page appeared on 10 October 2026. In it Moloda published a comment by deputy Anna Skorokhod, known for her criticism of mobilization, about a man who calls himself Oleksandr Todorov and a serviceman of the 41 separate mechanized brigade.
In early September a video was posted on YouTube where he stated he believes in negotiations for peace with Russia. He also called for protests on 3 October demanding a peace treaty with Russia. Much of Moloda’s TikTok content is devoted to this topic.

In reposts Moloda made on her TikTok page — comments by the Kremlin’s leader Putin and calls for Trump to reelect the current president of Ukraine. Also — criticism of Zelensky and mobilization in Ukraine.

The Judicial Decisions Registry contains several mentions of administrative offenses committed by a woman with the same full name and initials as Valentyna Moloda.
In 2025 Moloda was involved in a car accident in the village of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, then failed to stop at the patrol’s request, and when they detained her “by pursuit” they found signs of alcohol intoxication. She refused to undergo an intoxication test. The court ordered Moloda fined 17 thousand hryvnias and deprived of her driving rights for one year.
In 2022 Moloda was to be tried for petty hooliganism. According to law enforcement, the woman “used obscene language and harassed hotel staff” at the Tustan’ hotel in the Lviv region. Because the violation protocol was drawn up incorrectly, the case materials were returned for revision, and later the proceedings were closed due to expiration of the statute of administrative liability.
Investigators from Slidstvo.Info found that the clinic “Med-prestizh,” in whose “ambulance” Moloda arrived on 2 November, has not operated for three years. The company’s owner, Mykhailo Furman, who according to YouControl held Russian citizenship and is now, as Slidstvo.Info reported, an Israeli citizen, told journalists the company had five ambulances: one vehicle was transferred to Mykolaiv servicemen and four were sold.
Furman said the vehicle Moloda used was sold in 2024. Under the terms of the sale, he says, the new owners were supposed to remove the company’s logos. However, video from Soniachna Street shows the logo remained.
The Suspilne investigations editorial checked the MoH licensing registry. As of 2 November 2026 the LLC “Med-prestizh” still has a medical practice license issued in 2012, including for emergency medicine. There are no records of its annulment in the registry, the legal entity has not been liquidated, and the trademark “Med-prestizh” is also registered, with the certificate valid until 2029.
The investigations editorial sent Valentyna Moloda questions about the circumstances of her arrival on Soniachna, the origin of the vehicle and the source of information about “40 hostages.” We have not received a response as of publication.
The ambulance driver
On the evening of 2 November a video appeared on TikTok of a man who said he had come to Soniachna with the “doctor” to help a person. He said he is now being threatened and fears for his life.

The Suspilne investigations editorial identified this “driver.” He is 31-year-old Serhii Radzytskyi, a resident of Kharkiv region.
Radzytskyi’s surname has already appeared in the media in similar circumstances. In 29 September 2023 an incident occurred at a checkpoint in Kharkiv: unknown armed men in military uniform attacked police officers on duty there. NV wrote that the attackers likely belonged to the GUR special unit “Kraken.” Kharkiv police opened a case under the article on threat or violence against a law enforcement officer. Then-head of GUR Kyrylo Budanov condemned the clash and called such incidents unacceptable.
At that time Serhii Radzytskyi spoke in support of “Kraken” and recorded a video appeal. In it he urged civilians to stand up for the military, called police at checkpoints those who “only chase grandmothers at the market,” and said: if the civilian population does not rise up, “then shame on the whole country.” His words were quoted in the media.
Radzytskyi has repeatedly been involved in cases of administrative offenses.
In May 2025, according to the Judicial Decisions Registry, a man whose full name and birthplace match Serhii Radzytskyi’s was detained near the village of Vydrychka in Zakarpattia while attempting to illegally cross the state border from Ukraine into Romania.
A court ruling mentions that as of 2025 Radzytskyi was an active serviceman (military unit number hidden) and has been in SZZ since 13 September 2022. He did not admit guilt. The court fined him 3400 hryvnias.
In July 2022 Radzytskyi had a car accident in the city of Valky in Kharkiv region, crashing into a fence. The court ruling fining him 850 hryvnias noted he serves in the “GUR Kharkiv.”
In one of his TikTok videos Radzytskyi also claimed he fought in a special unit, without specifying the name. Because he publicly defended the GUR special unit “Kraken,” we contacted military intelligence to check whether he served there.
GUR Ministry of Defense representative Yevhenii Yerin said Radzytskyi is not and never has been a serviceman of “Kraken.” Regarding whether he ever served in GUR and whether he left for SZZ from there, Yerin asked that a journalistic request be submitted.

Radzytskyi runs his own YouTube channel and TikTok. In the run-up to 3 October he was spreading calls there to go to the “Maidan,” the public face of which was the above-mentioned Oleksandr Todorov.

Among the few dozen who nonetheless came to Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv on 3 October, Texty.org.ua reports, were bloggers who spread Russian propaganda. Notably, Anzhela Fuka-Dubina from Zaporizhzhia and Todor Panovskyi from Odesa. Russian media, to emphasize the importance of the action, illustrated news about it with photos from 2019 when more people gathered at a similar event.
We tried to contact Serhii Radzytskyi. A phone number that we believed might belong to him turned out to belong to someone else: the person who answered said Radzytskyi does not use it. We then sent questions to his TikTok page. As of publication he had not replied.
The house on Soniachna belongs to Sens Bank
The events in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka took place near the house on Soniachna Street, 7-A. As the Suspilne investigations editorial established, this house together with the plot was put up for sale in October 2026.

It is a residential house of 611 square meters, the auction organizer is JSC “Sens Bank.” The listing states the house has belonged to the bank since 2018. The starting price was over 12 million hryvnias, but the auction did not take place because no participants came. The bank has been trying to sell the house since at least 2021.
Commander of the National Guard Major General Oleksandr Pivnenko said the house was rented.
On the façade of the house, as seen in photos on sales sites, banners reading “for rent” and “for sale” were hanging with phone numbers. One of the numbers in owner-identifying apps users labeled as “Oksana Ukrsotbank.”
In 2019 Ukrsotsbank merged into “Alfa-Bank,” which in 2022, according to YouControl, was renamed “Sens Bank.”
The Suspilne investigations editorial sent requests to Sens Bank and the National Guard asking on what legal basis the military used the house, who and when signed the contract, whether the bank knew about the placement of the military and whether it informed potential buyers.
Where the men from the Soniachna house were taken
Four men from the Soniachna house were eventually taken by ambulance on the evening of 2 November. National Guard spokesperson Ruslan Muzychuk told Suspilne on 3 November that the servicemen were taken to one of the medical centers in the Kyiv region for medical examinations and, if necessary, to receive medical care.
“Everything is fine for now. From the morning they are already undergoing the necessary examinations and treatment. The relatives of the men have been informed of their condition,” Ruslan Muzychuk said. “The main thing is to find out whether there are indeed the injuries that were reported. In particular, unconfirmed information that there were cases of death or, as was written, spinal fractures. From what people on site saw, all four entered the ambulance on their own feet. Exact diagnoses will be available today. Fortunately, all those words about some sort of torture so far have no confirmation.”
How it all started
Information about the incident on Soniachna Street began to spread around midday. Kyiv region police responded by 16:00. As Suspilne reported, about a hundred people gathered near the house. Some of them identified themselves as relatives of mobilized men. They claimed the men in the house were being beaten and families were being extorted for money. One woman said she was asked for 100 thousand hryvnias to see her man, but could not confirm this. According to Suspilne, Kyiv region deputy police chief Maksym Ocheretianyi confirmed the house is a military facility.

National Guard commander Oleksandr Pivnenko personally came to Soniachna Street. According to him, the house was a temporary accommodation point for mobilized personnel arriving via the TCC. There they underwent processing and checks, and then went on to 58-day training.
The four men who were hospitalized, Pivnenko said, are servicemen detained after leaving their unit without authorization, and phones were confiscated from the mobilized for security reasons.
In the 1 corps of the National Guard “Azov” stated the house was a temporary deployment point of military unit 3121, which is part of the corps. The corps confirmed that four fighters had sustained injuries.
Officials gave differing numbers for how many people were in the house. Pivnenko spoke of 18 servicemen. The head of the Office of the President, Kyrylo Budanov, who arrived at the scene in the evening, said there were 14 people in the building.
Military Ombudswoman Olha Reshetylova said that all servicemen are safe and an inspection has been appointed. Interior Minister Ivan Vyhovskyi said a service investigation has been launched and the State Bureau of Investigation is working on site.
