Currently, Averianov is a deputy of the Chernihiv Regional Council representing the Radical Party of Oleh Lyashko, as well as the CEO and beneficiary of leading manufacturers of specialized fire-fighting, agricultural, and demining equipment — "Pozhmyshyna" and "Egritech."
Revenge, thefts, and contract assassination attempts
The official's political and business activities have been accompanied by a number of high-profile criminal cases and media scandals. For a long time, courts heard the case about the theft of a Porsche Cayenne from his former wife during their divorce. In September 2024, the Chernihiv Court of Appeal sentenced him to 7 years in prison for this, but in April 2025, the Supreme Court completely overturned this verdict due to lack of a criminal case. In September 2026, a new large-scale scandal erupted around Averianov: the Security Service of Ukraine announced the uncovering of attempts to organize terrorist acts and assassination attempts in Chernihiv region. According to law enforcement, the former official along with accomplices ordered arson attacks on the homes of judges who previously ruled against him, as well as an assassination attempt on the Pryluky blogger Oleksandr Lesyk. The businessman categorically denies any involvement, calling the case a shock and an attempt at raider seizure and pressure on his company "Pozhmyshyna."
