Experienced Zaporizhzhia Judge in the Commercial Judiciary System

Tetiana Anatoliivna Azizbekian is a Ukrainian servant of Themis, serving as a judge of the Commercial Court of Zaporizhzhia Region. She began her judicial career in 2002 with her first appointment, and in 2008 she was appointed for an indefinite term by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. For over twenty years of work in Zaporizhzhia, she has specialized in hearing property and commercial disputes between enterprises, recovering multimillion debts, and corporate conflicts.

Negative Conclusion by the Public Integrity Council, Systematic Concealment of Husband's Property and Corporate Rights

Tetiana Azizbekian's professional activity and property status faced serious criticism from civil society representatives during her qualification evaluation by the High Qualification Commission of Judges. In the summer of 2024, the Public Integrity Council approved an official negative conclusion on the judge's non-compliance with criteria of professional ethics and integrity. The main reason was regular and systematic errors in her anti-corruption declarations: investigators from the DEJURE Foundation found that for years the judge did not disclose or concealed information about numerous land plots belonging to her husband, his large business assets, and actual corporate rights in commercial entities, justifying this by claiming she allegedly "did not have this information."
