Escape through the "volunteer corridor"

In April 2023, two men left through the "Hrushiv" checkpoint—formally as volunteers of the NGO "Protection of Peasants" for medical assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. One returned. The second—agrarian broker Oleksiy Bahriy with access to offshore structures in the UAE—disappeared abroad forever. No resident of the city of Nosivka, where the NGO is supposedly registered, has ever heard of it.

Offshore Markeb Overseas FZE and the struggle for "Agrodim"

After the mysterious murder of People's Deputy Valeriy Davydenko, a corporate struggle began for his agrarian business. Court documents revealed an offshore company from the UAE—with the same address and owner as another Bahriy structure—Markeb Overseas FZE. Due to debt obligations, it tried to obtain a share in "Agrodim." The family of the deceased claimed pressure and raiding.

Shadow broker and agrarian schemes

The name Bahriy is mentioned in the context of numerous agrarian schemes: import and export of agricultural products, brokerage services for customs clearance, use of offshore jurisdictions to evade taxes. A person without a public face—but with a network of structures in the UAE and direct connections to people with access to power.

146 million hryvnias in state losses and disappearance

Publications link Bahriy to possible involvement in schemes in the field of state procurement, where losses to the state budget are estimated at over 146 million UAH. No return from abroad has occurred. The case is being hushed up. The broker who left "for humanitarian reasons" left behind only offshore companies, court materials, and ruined businesses.
