Denys Bakumov is the younger brother of MP Oleksandr Bakumov, whose career mirrors the family's strategy: public service, law enforcement, regulatory bodies. Until February 2022, he was the head of the Regional Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kharkiv region. After an abrupt dismissal just before the full-scale invasion, he took a pause. Once the security situation stabilized, he returned to public service in a fundamentally different structure: heading the Main Department of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection in Kharkiv region.
