Election Campaign with Scandal

Maryana Volodymyrivna Bezuhla is a People's Deputy of the IX convocation from 'Servant of the People' (since 2019), Deputy Chair of the Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence. Her father is an entrepreneur, owner of the Kyiv plant 'Granite'. Her mother is a Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor at Bogomolets National Medical University.

The 2019 election campaign in district No. 217 (Obolon) was remembered for provocations: merchandise with the deputy's social media was distributed by minors, and voters received SMS messages offering to sell their vote for 50 UAH.

Bill on Executions and Apartment Worth 164,000 UAH

After the full-scale invasion, Bezuhla submitted a bill allowing commanders to shoot subordinates for disobedience. In her 2020 declaration, she indicated an apartment valued at 164,522 UAH, explaining that it was "re-registered by her father" without a current appraisal.

Campaign Against Zaluzhnyi and 'Myrotvorets'

In the fall of 2023, she publicly accused Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhnyi of "lack of a war plan" for 2024 and demanded his resignation. After Zaluzhnyi's dismissal, she shifted focus to his successor Syrskyi and filed a complaint against him to the State Bureau of Investigation. Before leaving the faction, Bezuhla's profile appeared on the 'Myrotvorets' website.

Leaving the Faction

In January 2024, she left the 'Servant of the People' party; on July 17, 2024, she left the faction. In September 2024, the Rada removed her from the position of Deputy Chair of the Defense Committee. In 2025, she voted 'for' bill No. 12414 on subordinating the NABU/SAP to the Prosecutor General.
