Born on August 26, 1998, he graduated from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. In 2023, together with the founder of the cryptocurrency exchange WhiteBIT, Volodymyr Nosov, he became the main investor of the Kharkiv football club (Metalist), and later headed it. Simultaneously, Boyko owns a financial company and is engaged in investments in alternative energy.

Shadow supervision and the "Carthage" operation

In early September 2026, Bogdan Boyko found himself at the center of a major criminal scandal. During a session of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC), representatives of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) officially announced that the president of FC "Kharkiv" is one of the key figures in the high-profile special operation of the NABU and SAPO called "Carthage." According to the prosecution, Boyko acted as a trusted person of the detained head of the cyber department of the Office of the Prosecutor General, Serhiy Kropyva.

Prosecutors released intercepted audio recordings of conversations in which Kropyva (under the pseudonym "Chancellor") refers to Boyko as "bro" and warns him in advance about selective searches in "unfriendly" (competitive) offices in Dnipro.

Official position and denial of accusations

Bogdan Boyko himself, through the official resources of FC "Kharkiv," categorically denied any involvement in fraudulent schemes or financial dealings. He emphasized that his financial company operates exclusively under the supervision of the National Bank and that no official violations by the NBU have been recorded.
