Businessman from Horlivka, father-in-law of an MP from OPZZh
Serhiy Bryukhovetsky is an entrepreneur from Horlivka, Donetsk region, who preserved his business in the occupied territory while also receiving a multi-million dollar loan from a Ukrainian state bank. In the 2000s, he was a deputy of the Horlivka City Council from the Party of Regions. Father-in-law of Fedor Khrystenko.
$60 million from Ukreximbank — half as much as Antonov received for military aircraft
In April 2021, the state-owned Ukreximbank issued a loan totaling $60 million to two of Bryukhovetsky's companies — he personally acted as guarantor. The purpose of the loan was to purchase the troubled SkyMall shopping center in Kyiv — part of businessman Andriy Adamovskyi’s business structure, who is one of the parties in a longstanding corporate conflict over the shopping center. To understand the scale: this amount is half of what the state allocated to Antonov for building military aircraft.
Business in the "DNR" and taxes to the occupiers
Bryukhovetsky is co-owner of the company "Spets-RemMash," which after occupation — December 11, 2014 — was re-registered in Horlivka under the "legislation" of the "DNR" armed group. The company repairs equipment for local mines and, in doing so, pays taxes to the occupying authorities.
