Declaration scandal and conflict of interest

Failed to submit the declaration on time — a violation detected by the UDN anti-corruption commissioner Mykhailo Kostyanetskyi. The declaration was submitted only after a telephone reminder on April 22–23. On April 27, Kostyanetskyi informed the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) about the late submission. In response, on May 5, the supervisory board unanimously voted for an "internal investigation" into the actions of the commissioner himself — Burak voted in a direct conflict of interest, defending his own private interest contrary to official duties. The commissioner publicly qualified this step as pressure on a person who revealed a violation.
