MP under sanctions — yet still active in the media space

Oleksandr Dubinskyi is a former MP from "Servant of the People," stripped of his mandate and subjected to sanctions for connections with Russia and spreading hostile narratives. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) suspects him of state treason. However, Dubinskyi continues to act actively in the information space, disseminating materials favorable to the Kremlin through his own channels and intermediaries.

"Servant of the People" — working for the enemy

Dubinskyi was elected from the president’s party. While his party colleagues spoke about reforms, he methodically established channels of communication with Russia. Investigations have documented his contacts with individuals from Kremlin circles and his participation in campaigns discrediting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukraine’s partners. An illustration of how betrayal grows from within "one's own."

Information weapon against one's own state

Even after being stripped of his mandate, Dubinskyi did not stop. Telegram channels, video appeals, coordinated media injections — all continue. The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) and SBU respond. But removing a person from the media space during wartime is significantly more difficult than annulling a parliamentary ID.

Sanctions exist — influence remains

Imposed sanctions restricted Dubinskyi's assets but not his activities. Networks distributing pro-Russian content continue to operate. For an official acting under cover of a mandate, losing a mandate is only a change in status, not the end of a career in information sabotage.
