Person information
From Kirov Province to the Odesa Regional State Administration of Saakashvili
Born on October 21, 1982, in Moscow. Daughter of the famous Russian reformer Yegor Gaydar. In 2015, she renounced Russian citizenship, obtained Ukrainian citizenship, and became deputy governor for social issues under Saakashvili at the Odesa Regional State Administration. In March 2017, she joined the team of freelance advisors to President Poroshenko.
During Saakashvili's introduction of the new deputy, journalists asked Gaydar three times whom Ukraine was fighting — she did not answer any of the times. Later, she publicly stated that Ukraine is fighting Russia and accused the Kremlin of all events in the country.
Resignation and return to Russia?
In May 2016, she left the post due to the civil service law prohibiting holding it alongside the status of deputy. After leaving politics, some sources claimed that Gaydar returned to Russia — the former official herself denied this.
