Hrabets Svitlana Yuriyivna

Judge of the Commercial Court of Kyiv Region from a family of high-ranking officials

Ukrainian judge. Holds the position of judge at the Commercial Court of Kyiv Region. According to materials from the High Qualification Commission of Judges (HQCJ), before becoming a judge, in 2002–2004 she worked as a lawyer at Inter Oko LLC, and in 2005–2010 at the qualification improvement centers of the State Customs Service in Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi. She comes from a family of officials: her father Yuriy Dyomin was deputy prosecutor general under Viktor Pshonka during Yanukovych's administration and before that worked in customs; her mother Olha Dyomina is a former judge (until 2017), and her husband Ihor Hrabets is deputy head of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Investigation exceeding $1 million

In 2019, the Public Integrity Council issued a conclusion regarding Hrabets's non-compliance with the criteria of integrity and professional ethics; the judge contested it, and in September 2019 the Kyiv District Administrative Court declared this conclusion unlawful and annulled it. According to an investigation by hromadske (October 2025), the judge’s father purchased a 286 m² house in the elite gated community Riviera Zoloche near Kyiv (market value about half a million dollars), which since December 2019 has been used by the judge herself and her prosecutor husband; journalists questioned the origin of the funds for this estate. According to the same investigation, during the full-scale war the family of the judge and prosecutor Hrabets acquired property with a market value exceeding $1 million, including elite hotel complexes in Bukovel.
