Started business in the 1990s selling metal to the Russian Federation. Partner of Kolomoiskyi — in 2004 sold him eight regional energy companies, then litigated for the return of three. Controls the "Energetic Standard" group: Luhansk and Vinnytsia regional energy companies, electricity trading. In 2008 the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) banned his entry to Ukraine for 5 years. In 2016, allegedly renounced Russian citizenship. Net worth (2013) — $1.8 billion. Lives mostly abroad.

Fictitious advisor for 1.5 million UAH/month, NSDC and Ministry of Internal Affairs sanctions, wanted

From 2020 to 2024, Hryhoryshyn was registered as a fictitious advisor to the chairman of the board of Sumyoblenergo with a schedule of 4 hours per week and salary of 1.5 million UAH/month — 5 to 7 times above the limit set by the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC). Total losses — 68 million UAH. On January 19, 2025, President Zelenskyy imposed NSDC sanctions — asset blocking. On March 2, 2026, the SBU and the Bureau of Economic Security (BEB) notified him of suspicion; the Prosecutor General's Office qualified the actions as embezzlement on a particularly large scale. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine declared Hryhoryshyn wanted as a "person hiding from pre-trial investigation authorities." He remains abroad.
