Kyiv City Council Deputy from "UDAR" and "Solidarity"
Mykhailo Ishchenko is a typical representative of Kyiv's municipal elite, who entered politics through a career as a municipal official. Tractor driver and driver at a collective farm, then nine years at "Kyivmiskbud", followed by small business, deputy head of Desnianskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts, director of housing municipal enterprises. He obtained higher education after age 40 — economist (2005), public administrator (2008), philosopher (2012). His first university alma mater was the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Moscow.

Since December 2015 — member of the Kyiv City Council's permanent commission on property issues. He did not attend the session when voting on the Museum at Poshtova Square. In 2018, residents of Troieshchyna complained about Ishchenko: the deputy attempted to organize a street celebration with loud music at 9 a.m.
