Usyk Hryhoriy Ivanovych
Judge of the Supreme Court
Ukrainian legal expert, public official, current member of the High Council of Justice (since February 2023)
Kandziuba is the newly elected Chair of the Commission on the Higher Corps of Civil Service in the Justice System (since September 2026). He built his many years of professional career in the prosecutor's offices. Prior to his delegation to the High Council of Justice by the All-Ukrainian Conference of Prosecutors, Kandziuba served as Deputy Head of the Department for Prevention of Violations in Prosecutor's Offices of the Internal Security Division of the General Inspectorate of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Journalists' questions and administrative violations
In the media space and the legal community, the official was involved in several controversial situations. During the selection for the High Council of Justice, the public criticized the decision to close part of his interview at the prosecutor's own request for reasons of "privacy and anonymity" under martial law conditions. Later, journalists from the publication "Last Bastion" criticized Kandziuba for the prolonged non-consideration of a complaint against judge Hanna Huliaieva, who, together with prosecutors, allowed the corruption-accused mayor of Kobeliaky, Mykola Riznyk, to go on numerous overseas trips. In addition, in March 2025, social media discussed a complete namesake of the official in the context of an administrative protocol under Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (driving under the influence), but no official confirmation was published as to whether this directly concerned the High Council of Justice member.
