Fled 10 days before the invasion and still holds a mandate
Fedir Khrystenko is a People's Deputy from the banned Opposition Platform — For Life party, originally from Horlivka, whose career was built from the outset in close connection with Donetsk clans.
On February 14, 2022 — ten days before the full-scale invasion — Khrystenko left Ukraine together with his wife Maryna and daughter Khrystyna. Currently, the family rents a hotel room in the UAE. Despite being absent from the country and not participating in parliamentary work, Khrystenko retains his deputy mandate — he can only be deprived of it by a court decision or if declared incapacitated. In 2022, his salary payments were stopped due to absenteeism — he declared only 42,000 UAH.
In the 2024 declaration — three apartments, a garage, a private house, and a land plot in Ukraine; an apartment, three parking spaces, and a storage room in Russia; an apartment in Poland. Among the declared valuables are watches by Rolex, Harry Winston, Richard Mille, Breguet; jewelry by Graff, Cartier, Damiani, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bvlgari.
FSB Agent
In July 2025, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Office of the Prosecutor General exposed Khrystenko for treason. According to case materials, he was a top agent of the Russian FSB — a resident responsible for strengthening Russian influence over the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). He was detained on September 6, 2025.
