Lawyer of the Bar Council of Lviv Region (certificate No. 1077, since 2005). In the public arena, he is mostly known by the nickname "Vasya Lvivskyi." Several media outlets and former tax service officials characterize him as the owner of a large conversion center in Lviv, which allegedly operates through a network of fictitious enterprises and "their" people in power to launder billions of hryvnias. Some publications link Kostiuk to the former head of the Tax Service, Serhiy Verlanov, and assert that the conversion schemes continued even after 2019.

Register of Corrupt Officials and Absence of Official Suspicion

According to the Unified State Register of Persons Who Committed Corruption Offenses, as of May 2026, Vasyl Vasylovych Kostiuk is listed in the NACP register of corrupt officials on the basis of "abuse of influence." No official suspicions from NABU or the SBI in the status of suspect or accused have been found in the open registers.
