Avakov's driver, 2 billion in assets

Kotvytskyi Ihor Oleksiyovych is a deputy of the VIII convocation from the "People's Front", business partner of former Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.

He began his career as a driver and vice president of Avakov's company "Investor." After moving into the gas business, he quickly became wealthy. In 2014, he was elected to the Parliament from the "People's Front." In 2016, he became the richest deputy of the Verkhovna Rada — assets exceeded 2 billion UAH.

Wife with $28 million in cash suitcases

In 2022, the State Bureau of Investigation opened a criminal case following reports of Kotvytskyi's wife transporting undeclared cash amounting to over $28 million and 1 million euros.

Gas theft and SBU searches

In 2023, the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Bureau of Investigation conducted searches in a case regarding possible gas theft from Ukrainian subsoil — losses to the state are estimated in the hundreds of millions of hryvnias.

Tobacco distributor and Sukhomlyn network

Kotvytskyi became a co-owner of Global Tobacco (24.9%) — one of the largest tobacco distributors in Ukraine. The rest of the capital is distributed among the Sukhomlyn and Avramov families.
