Prosecutor with 9.7 million from wife’s sole proprietorship

Ivan Lendel is the Deputy Head of the Berehove District Prosecutor's Office in Zakarpattia. His official salary is 1.5 million UAH per year. But the declaration shows a surge: his wife Halyna declared 4.5 million UAH income from entrepreneurial activity plus 5.25 million UAH insurance payouts — a total of over 9.7 million UAH additional income for the year. The source of the insurance payments is unclear. No explanations.

10 hectares in the Carpathians without value and source

The declaration records a land plot of 10.8 thousand sq. m in Chornyi Potik village in Irshava district, acquired in 2024 — with no indication of either cost or source of funds. The family also uses a 232 sq. m house in Mukachevo. A 2020 Volkswagen Passat is registered to a third party — Svitlana Horytska. The scheme of using someone else’s car has been tested in Zakarpattia for years.

Prosecutor who "does not see" himself

By position, Lendel should oversee legality in the Berehove district. But his own declaration shows signs of discrepancy between official incomes and the real assets of the family. The very person who should be the first to detect hidden property of others clearly demonstrates a classic gap between salary and lifestyle.

Zakarpattia: a system with no way out

The Zakarpattia prosecutor’s office has long been under investigation scrutiny. Scandals with declarations, passports for draft dodgers, corruption schemes in the police — the region has a systemically rotten core. Lendel is part of this structure: an official whose family wealth through his wife appears too large for a "prosecutor’s salary."
