Chairman of the Board of Megabank

Logvinenko Oleksiy Stepanovych — Ukrainian politician, People's Deputy of the VI convocation from the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, Candidate of Political Sciences. Graduated from Kharkiv State University named after Gorky (psychologist) and Kharkiv Institute of Business and Management (economist).

Party career from the Communist Party of Ukraine to BYuT

From 1988 to 1991, he was head of the educational department at the Institute of Socio-Political Knowledge of the Kharkiv Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine. From 1997 to 2000, Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. In 2000, he headed the board of JSC "Megabank" — a position he has held for many years. In 2002, he was registered as a candidate for People's Deputy and was elected to the VI convocation from BYuT.

Break with Korolevska and transition to Tihipko

In 2012, he publicly sided with Natalia Korolevska in her conflict with the leadership of "Batkivshchyna" and, in protest, left the party — at the moment when Tymoshenko was serving her sentence in Kachanivska penal colony, also located in Kharkiv. He ran for the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation from Serhiy Tihipko’s "Strong Ukraine" party.

Payroll bank of Turboatom and one billion dollars in transactions

Logvinenko, together with his partner Subotin, ensured payroll services for employees of the state enterprise "Turboatom" through Megabank, which Logvinenko has managed for many years. The factory workers’ payroll funds at that time exceeded one billion dollars — a quarter of the bank’s total assets. The concentration of the payroll flow of a strategically important state enterprise in one private bank controlled by the deputy himself creates a classic conflict of interest and a channel for hidden financial benefits.
