Terekhov Ihor Oleksandrovych
Mayor of Kharkiv
Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk from Svoboda
Ruslan Romanovych Martsynek — Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk (since 2015, re-elected in 2020), people's deputy of the 7th convocation from Svoboda, candidate of legal sciences.
Homophobic and racist scandals
In March 2016, he publicly stated that a gay person cannot be a patriot — only a Christian can. In April 2020, he ordered police to remove Roma people from the city, expressing outrage that they were "not packed and removed" earlier; National Police Chief Klymenko opened proceedings regarding these statements, and the UN responded by reminding about tolerance. He supported an attempt to disrupt the opening of an LGBT+ center in Frankivsk.
Accusations of raiding
Martsynek was accused of raider seizure of one of the markets in Ivano-Frankivsk — according to sources, the mayor allegedly conspired with criminals who previously operated in the "LPR/DPR" territories.
Systematic failure to fulfill promises
Since 2017, he has promised to connect the Northern and Southern boulevards — an unfulfilled promise for five consecutive years. He did not fulfill a public promise to publish declarations of the city council deputies for 2015. In 2019, the mayor's team used the opening of children's playgrounds funded by the budget for PR purposes.
