Servant of the People MP, former prosecutor, co-author of restrictive initiatives

MP of the IX convocation (№36 on the "Servant of the People" list), Kryvyi Rih prosecutor since 1998, head of the subcommittee on the activities of prosecution bodies. In the 2015 competition for the head of the Kryvyi Rih prosecutor's office, he placed 14th out of 16, which did not prevent him from serving as an MP and overseeing prosecutorial issues in the Parliament.

"Polyakov’s Tapes" and collecting signatures for the Presidential Office

In 2019, he was featured on an audio recording published by MP Polyakov: Kryvyi Rih "Servants" discussed the appointment of the city police chief and promised political "protection" from law enforcement. In 2020, together with Tyshchenko, allegedly on Yermak's behalf, he gathered signatures for the dismissal of the head of the Education Committee Babak, telling colleagues about a "ministerial appointment" — the deputies later withdrew their signatures.

For the liquidation of NABU — and a fight during rollback

On July 22, 2025, he voted for law №12414, which subordinated NABU and SAP to the Prosecutor General; on July 31, during voting for the restoration of the independence of the anti-corruption bodies, he fought in the session hall with fellow party member Kasai — in the first such incident during years of the Parliament's online broadcast. In 2026, he was noted for an initiative to ban the children's platform Roblox, repeating the arguments used to ban it in Russia.
