Radkovskyi Oleh Volodymyrovych

First Deputy Chairman of the Odesa Regional Council and long-time head of the regional "Batkivshchyna" party

Odesa politician (born August 22, 1960), PhD in Technical Sciences, former People's Deputy; since 2009, he has headed the Odesa regional organization of the All-Ukrainian Union "Batkivshchyna," is the leader of the party faction in the regional council, and First Deputy Chairman of the Odesa Regional Council for several convocations. He positions himself as a businessman and patron (chairman of the supervisory board of the International Charitable Foundation "Fund of Kindness and Love"). In October 2017, he survived an assassination attempt in central Odesa—sustaining five gunshot wounds.

Suspicion of extortion (July 2026)

On July 9, 2026, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported his detention on a scheme: according to the investigation, Radkovskyi and accomplices demanded $50,000 from an entrepreneur (in some reports, $10,000) for assistance in changing the land's designated use in Ovidiopol District for cottage construction, although he had no authority to resolve this. The Prosecutor's Office filed charges of large-scale fraud and requested bail of approximately 10 million UAH; the court imposed a milder measure—personal guarantees from Batkivshchyna party deputies. The official's property is under arrest.

Humanitarian scheme and new searches

Less than two weeks later—new searches (two apartments and offices of related companies), financial documentation was seized. Separately, the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office and media are investigating the embezzlement of humanitarian aid: free cargoes from abroad were registered under charitable foundations ("Ridnyi Bereh" [Native Shore], "Doloni Pivdenna" [Southern Palms], "Volunteer Wings"), while the goods were allegedly sold at the "Seventh Kilometer" market; the foundation "Ridnyi Bereh" is linked to Radkovskyi through LLC "Bereh-Group."
