Polish "Escobar," restaurants in Warsaw, and shadow business

Anatoliy Ihorovych Raynin is a Ukrainian entrepreneur and restaurateur, and the son of the former head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration and ex-head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, Ihor Raynin. He was born on April 1, 1999, in Kharkiv and during his youth professionally played tennis under the aegis of the Tennis Federation of Ukraine. Prior to the full-scale invasion, Anatoliy moved to Poland, where together with his business partner and companion Kateryna Onatska he began developing nightlife and restaurant businesses in Warsaw.

Raynin Jr. gained scandalous popularity in the Polish capital under the nickname Pablo Escobar. Under this name, he opened his first establishment in Warsaw, which over time developed a dubious reputation (its rating on TripAdvisor fell to very low levels, and in 2022 a large-scale mass brawl occurred there). Later he expanded his empire, becoming the beneficiary and co-owner of several Polish companies in the catering and entertainment sectors — such as Inspector Gastro Group, Inspector Warsaw, and Canoe Warsaw (where he owns 55.81% together with Kateryna Onatska).

Salary "scam" involving hundreds of thousands of zlotys and suspicious links within the Inspector GG network

In September 2025 and 2026, Anatoliy Raynin's name was at the center of a high-profile international and Polish investigation into massive labor rights violations and financial abuses. Former employees of the Warsaw restaurant chain Inspector Gastro Group massively complained that the administration and owners withheld wages for months, accumulating a debt to the staff amounting to hundreds of thousands of zlotys, and stopped responding to the employees' inquiries.

At the same time, Polish and Ukrainian investigators discovered an extremely toxic context around Raynin's business: the Inspector GG network was linked through a chain of companies to financial structures and assets of the sanctioned Russian or pro-Russian businesswoman Shevtsova.
