The Governor Deprived of His Title for Collaborationism
Former head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration and chief of President Poroshenko's Administration. In December 2022, the Kharkiv Regional Council revoked Raynin's title of "Honorary Citizen"—due to his anti-Ukrainian and collaborationist views. A public official who consistently spoke Russian, even while holding high government positions.
"Turboatom" and Procurement from Relatives
After being appointed governor, it became known that the strategic enterprise "Turboatom" began purchasing products from a company connected to Raynin's relatives—at inflated prices. The director and co-founder of the supplier company "Occupational Safety" was the official’s father—Lev Raynin. Ihor’s mother and future governor Yulia Svitlychna also worked there.
Land for Allies and Influence Peddling
The Kharkiv Anti-Corruption Center discovered that Raynin's circle established the housing cooperative "Sintobud" and received 1.5 hectares of land in Kharkiv from the city authorities for free. Raynin "fulfilled" his deputy mandate in the Kharkiv Regional Council remotely—during 2017, he did not attend a single plenary session.
