People's Deputy of the VIII convocation for constituency No. 94 of Kyiv region from the "People's Front" (2014–2019), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Non-Banking Financial Institutions of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Financial Policy. Before the Rada — Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "Indar" (2005–2011), Director of LLC "Mako" (2012–2013), in 2013–2014 — Vice President of the Association of Ukrainians of Italy.

Declaration manipulations

In 2012–2013, he ran in by-elections in the same 94th district from "Batkivshchyna", but the High Administrative Court of Ukraine ruled his candidate registration illegal following a lawsuit from the then authorities, and the Central Election Commission removed his candidacy; Romaniuk appealed the court decision to the European Court of Human Rights. In the electronic declaration for 2013, $753,000 and 18,700 euros in cash were recorded; in that year he also lent $665,300 to a person named Eduard Romaniuk, likely his brother.
