Ukrainian civil activist, human rights defender, and media strategist

He is the co-founder, leader, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the independent international analytical publication The Ukrainian Review, which was established in the summer of 2022 by a group of media volunteers with the goal of countering Russian propaganda and disinformation and covering events in Ukraine for a foreign audience. In addition, Volodymyr heads the Odesa human rights organization "Shared Goal," which fights against illegal construction in the region, and is also a co-founder of the architectural and urban initiative Urban Buro, which is involved in projects for restoring and improving urban planning.

Career and activities

From 2015 to 2021, Volodymyr Savchenko worked in the committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, where he analyzed policy, provided legislative support, and developed reforms. In August 2024, under his leadership, the media project reached a new level—supported by the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the printed version of The Ukrainian Review magazine was presented in Kyiv in several languages (English, German, and French) for distribution in diplomatic and European institutions.
