A People's Deputy of the IX convocation from "Servant of the People" (No. 33), member of the agricultural committee; deputy faction leader until December 3, 2019.

According to "Ukrainska Pravda" (2019), he was part of the informal deputy group of Illia Pavlyuk, which faction colleagues suspected of lobbying for Akhmetov's interests — particularly in an attempt to derail the electricity market bill No. 2233, which threatened DTEK's monopoly.
