Person information

A pediatric surgeon turned chameleon politician: headed the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, now ignores sessions from Slovakia

A medical professional by training (born 1974, Dnipro), a pediatric surgeon at the regional children's hospital, later a public administrator. Participant in the Orange Revolution and Euromaidan (the only regional council deputy who opened a reception center for protesters in downtown Dnipro). Politically "migrated": "Reforms and Order" → "Front for Change" → BPP (Petro Poroshenko Bloc) → "European Solidarity." Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council (2015–2019, BPP); resigned after the arrival of "Servant of the People," supported the "Resistance Movement against Capitulation." Still a regional council deputy from European Solidarity.

Scandals and "changing masters"

Opponents reproached him for shifting loyalties from Yushchenko to Poroshenko. On election day 2019, he posted on Facebook his filled ballot with checkmarks for Zelensky — many concluded he had "changed masters again." He was photographed with a criminal "authority" nicknamed "Narik" and himself published the photo.

Wealth and absenteeism

Declared over 5 million hryvnias in cash, explaining his wealth as inheritance ("inherited millionaire"). The National Agency on Corruption Prevention issued a warning to the regional council for failing to submit an anti-corruption program. In his 2024 declaration, he listed Slovakia as his place of residence and systematically misses sessions.
