Co-owner of GC "1520" — the largest contractor of Russian Railways

Russian businessman (born April 15, 1972, Moscow), co-owner and beneficiary of LLC "Group of Companies 1520" — one of the largest contractors of Russian Railways. Among the co-owners are Valery Markelov and Alexey Krapivin (son of Andrey Krapivin, former advisor to the head of Russian Railways). According to media reports, structures linked to Arkady Rotenberg showed interest in "1520."

Subject in the case of billion-ruble bribes to Colonel Zakharchenko

According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the co-owners of "1520" gave bribes for years to Colonel Dmitry Zakharchenko of the anti-corruption department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (who was found with approximately 9 billion rubles in cash during searches) for general protection. Usherovich is charged with giving a bribe in an especially large amount — in various formulations from 1.4 to 2.39 billion rubles (part 5, Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation); according to the investigation, Markelov handed Zakharchenko about 2 billion rubles over roughly 10 years. Usherovich denies the charges.

Escape and trial

On September 24, 2018, he left for Turkey and has not appeared in Russia since; in 2019, the Basmanny Court arrested him in absentia, and an international search was announced via Interpol. Media reported on Israel, movement by yacht (Gibraltar–Israel–Turkey), an asylum request in the UK, and a London fund worth about $2 billion controlled by former co-owners of "1520." In October 2025, the case was transferred to court — the trial is in absentia and closed.
