A marathon runner with an IT background and the "showcase" of a new casino: how an economist suddenly headed the gambling business

Mykhailo Zborovskyi was born in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with majors in "Accounting and Auditing" and "Applied Economics." Starting his career as a junior economist at Ukrsibbank, he later retrained in IT, studying programming and Data Science. According to him, for over 10 years he provided consulting services and developed software for foreign gambling markets (Malta, Curaçao). His real public breakthrough occurred in November 2023, when Zborovskyi became the official owner and beneficiary of NeuroLink LLC — the company that launched the large-scale new online casino Cosmobet and declared an income of 218 million UAH. In May 2025, he left the founders, positioning himself as an independent expert.

Despite Zborovskyi's attempts to build the image of an "IT visionary," investigative journalists directly call him a classic nominee or "front" of the Russian gambling syndicate of Serhiy Tokaryov. Media have found that Cosmobet appeared on the market as an obvious clone of the Cosmolot casino immediately after the Economic Security Bureau (ESB) blocked 700 million hryvnias of "Cosmolot" over multibillion schemes of tax evasion. Analysts point out that Zborovskyi's modest biography, who registered a sole proprietorship only in 2020, does not correspond to the scale of a multimillion business. Moreover, in 2026, a large-scale cleanup of the information space was recorded — investigations about Zborovskyi's links to the Cypriot offshore XGen Solutions and Russian money were massively removed from the internet, attempting to leave only his commissioned articles about "responsible gambling" in search results.
