Deputy Chairperson of the Management Board of Sense Bank
The first CEO lasted only three weeks, and the deputy became acting CEO
Olena Zubchenko is the Deputy Chairperson of the Management Board of Sense Bank. She was appointed a board member on July 22, 2023, at the proposal of the Ministry of Finance simultaneously with the nationalization of the bank. Prior to that, she was a member of the Board of the Deposit Guarantee Fund for Individuals. The first appointed Chairperson of the Management Board, Dmytro Kuzmin, worked only three weeks and resigned "for personal reasons." From August 15, 2023, Zubchenko served as acting CEO—meaning she effectively managed the bank during the most sensitive transition period while the search for a new leader was ongoing.
Between the "Mindich tapes" and the recruitment competition involving an HR agency
At the Temporary Special Commission meeting, they discussed in detail how the bank leadership was selected: officially—through an international HR agency and foreign experts. However, the correlation between the "Mindich tapes" and the actual appointments cast doubt on the fairness of the process. Zubchenko remained on the board as deputy even after Stupak's appointment in February 2024.
