About Agroprosperis

290 thousand hectares — and an American fund behind a Cypriot "front"

Agroprosperis Group (AP Group) is one of the largest agricultural holdings in Ukraine, ranking among the top three producers and exporters of grain and oilseed crops. Their land bank amounts to 290,000 hectares across 11 regions. The actual owner is the American investment fund NCH Capital. All legal entities of the group in Ukraine were established through Cypriot companies registered at the address of the Mall of Cyprus shopping center in Nicosia. Thus, the largest foreign lessee of Ukrainian agricultural land is formally "based" in an offshore hub rather than in the USA, where the management actually operates.

ATO veterans' land sold for next to nothing — and three criminal investigations

According to the investigation, between 2015 and 2021, officials subordinate to Tarasov from the StateGeoCadastre and private notaries forged certificates and powers of attorney to transfer plots to fictitious persons, and then to Tarasov himself and his partners. The scheme involves land formally allocated to ATO/JFO participants. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) is investigating a separate case involving the withdrawal of 1,500 hectares in Kirovohrad region — land rights worth 15.4 million UAH were transferred for 40,000 UAH.

Son in Parliament, father wanted by the authorities

In January 2024, Tarasov was declared internationally wanted. He is hiding abroad and participates remotely in court hearings. His son, Oleh Tarasov, is a people's deputy and declared 21 million UAH in gifts from his father in 2024, that is, after Tarasov was declared wanted.
