About Epicentr K

From the "Party of Regions" to the "dictatorial laws"

Epicentr K is the largest network of construction hypermarkets in Ukraine, with over 65 stores across the country. The owners are the married couple Oleksandr and Halyna Hereha, whose wealth Forbes estimates at over $1.7 billion. Oleksandr is a people's deputy of the VII, VIII, and IX convocations. From 2012 to 2014, he was a member of the Party of Regions faction. On January 16, 2014, he voted for the "dictatorial laws" aimed at suppressing the Euromaidan. On July 22, 2025, he voted for a bill that effectively eliminated the independence of the NABU and SAP, subordinating them to the Prosecutor General.

Crimea, offshore companies, and "Novatsentr"

The Pandora Papers confirmed that Oleksandr and Halyna Hereha were beneficiaries of the Cypriot company Edlagor Enterprises Limited, which from at least 2015 to 2019 conducted financial operations related to the construction hypermarket network "Novatsentr K" in occupied Crimea — the largest taxpayer to the Sevastopol budget. The structure of five Cypriot companies of the Herehas, including the funds Funfationsansalt and Gold Taurus Stiftung, allowed them to avoid declaring assets. The NAPC began checking the declaration but has not published public results.

Polish "freebie" and assets abroad

In December 2023, the Herehas' Cypriot company Paravita Holding Limited became the owner of a controlling stake in Intersport Polska. By October 2024, Epicentr K and Paravita together controlled over 58% of shares and 57% of votes in the Polish network, which was meanwhile showing increasing losses.
