Rozetka

Rozetka is the largest online retailer in Ukraine, founded in 2005 by Vladyslav and Iryna Chechotkin.

Cyprus offshore and opaque ownership structure

The owner of LLC "Rozetka.UA" is the Cyprus-registered offshore company "Temania Enterprises Ltd," the ultimate owners of which are Iryna and Vladyslav Chechotkin. As of 2023, they control 39.8% of the Cyprus company, 18.9% is owned by Horizon Capital, 4.5% by the founders of EVO Group, and 1% by an unknown shareholder. The remaining capital has not been publicly disclosed by Chechotkin, who only noted that "the ownership structure is different." Using an offshore "intermediary" allows for effective minimization of taxation on profits taken out of Ukraine. 

Searches

In April 2012, the Tax Service conducted a seizure of servers of the hosting company where Rozetka.ua's website was hosted. Later, the company became the subject of inspections multiple times.

Owner abroad during the war

The Chechotkin family left Ukraine abroad at the outset of the full-scale war. The owner openly admitted: "I chose to save my family — this is my personal choice." Meanwhile, thousands of Rozetka employees remained in Ukraine and continue to work. Chechotkin himself "comes to Ukraine periodically."
