The State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU) is a central executive authority implementing state policy in the field of privatization and management of state-owned assets. It carries out the sale of state enterprises, shares, and property at open auctions, regulates the lease of state property, and represents the interests of the state as a shareholder in strategic enterprises. Founded in 1992, it is accountable to the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers.
Since 2019, the SPFU has adopted a transparent electronic privatization model through the Prozorro.Sale platform, which has enabled attracting foreign investors and significantly increased revenue to the state budget. In times of war, the fund also participates in the confiscation and management of assets seized from sanctioned individuals and companies associated with Russia.
