National Guard

The National Guard of Ukraine is a military formation with law enforcement functions that is part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and carries out tasks related to the protection of the state, public security, and the constitutional order. The primary goal of the National Guard's activity is to ensure state security, protect the rights and freedoms of citizens, participate in the defense of the country, and maintain public order. The formation operates in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, laws of Ukraine, and regulatory legal acts in the field of national security and defense.

The National Guard includes operational, combat, special, and security units that perform a wide range of tasks. The National Guard provides protection for important state facilities, diplomatic missions, government authorities, and special cargo. Units of the formation participate in counter-terrorism efforts, maintain public order, eliminate the consequences of emergencies, and perform defense tasks in coordination with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies.

In modern conditions, the National Guard of Ukraine plays an important role in ensuring internal security, protecting the territorial integrity of the state, and maintaining stability in the country. The formation's activities are aimed at strengthening Ukraine's defense capability, increasing the level of citizens' safety, and effectively responding to contemporary challenges and threats.
