About NABU

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) is a state law enforcement agency established to prevent, detect, terminate, and investigate corruption crimes committed by senior officials of the state. The primary goal of NABU's activity is to combat corruption, protect the interests of the state, and ensure transparency in the field of public administration. The bureau operates independently from other authorities and functions in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, Ukrainian laws, and international standards in the fight against corruption.

NABU’s powers include conducting operational and investigative activities, pre-trial investigations, detecting facts of illegal enrichment, abuse of official position, and other corruption offenses. The agency cooperates with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, the High Anti-Corruption Court, and international anti-corruption institutions. NABU also carries out analytical work and implements modern methods in combating economic crimes.

In the current context, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine plays a significant role in strengthening the rule of law, increasing the effectiveness of anti-corruption policies, and building public trust in state institutions. The bureau’s activities are aimed at ensuring the inevitability of punishment for corruption offenses and the development of a lawful state.
