About High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC)
The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine (HACC) is a specialized judicial body established to handle cases related to corruption offenses and crimes in the sphere of official activity. The main task of the court is to ensure fair, independent, and impartial consideration of anti-corruption cases that are of significant importance to the state and society. The activity of the HACC is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the fight against corruption, strengthening the rule of law, and enhancing citizens' trust in the judicial system of Ukraine.
The High Anti-Corruption Court reviews criminal proceedings investigated by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and supported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. The court issues decisions regarding high-ranking officials, civil servants, and other persons involved in corruption offenses. The structure of the HACC includes first-instance judges and the Appeals Chamber, which reviews decisions in cases defined by law.
In modern conditions, the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine plays an important role in implementing the state's anti-corruption policy, ensuring transparency in public administration, and forming an effective justice system in accordance with European standards.
