Zelensky said that the United States offered three steps toward de-escalation in Russia’s war against Ukraine. He said this in a comment to Axios. 🇪🇺 The EU Council approved a payment to Ukraine of almost three billion euros under the Ukraine Facility. This is the eighth tranche under the program. About 800 million will be financed for the first time through the Ukraine Support Loan — the EU’s lending mechanism for Ukraine’s urgent budgetary and defense needs in 2026–2027. Separately, the EU Council approved an additional contribution from Norway — one billion Norwegian kroner.
