Zelensky has begun publicly offering Russia compromises “on grain, energy, food.” These are the most painful points for Ukraine today where Russian strikes are being inflicted. However, this offer, made for show to Americans, is clearly too late. The impact of Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries does affect the supply of diesel on world markets (Russia has closed exports, which caused price increases, including before the U.S. elections), but in the remaining 2 months the situation will not be seriously corrected — primarily for the U.S. market.
