Today a Plenum was held at the Supreme Court.

As always, it dealt with the most topical and urgent issues. In quotation marks 😂.

It turns out that the thing Supreme Court judges were most interested in was their financial provision and filling the court’s existing vacancies.

Apparently, heavy workloads and a “small” judicial salary greatly hinder traveling the world and take time away from arranging one’s VIP lifestyle in secluded country estates.

Agree — nothing is more important than one’s own comfort!😂

Unfortunately, recent events related to the “Forrest Gump - Themis” case and the prosecutor’s reported facts of corrupt extra-procedural communications between Iryna Mudra, some members of the High Council of Justice, Supreme Court judges, the High Anti-Corruption Court, and other courts somehow went unnoticed; the plenum did not give this proper consideration — as if nothing happened!

This is probably the genius of the “father of the modern judicial reform” Filatov: recruiting judges to the highest judicial instance by replacing authoritative, experienced judges of the Supreme Court of Ukraine with “academics,” “attorneys,” and “legal specialists” who do not fully understand the role and duties of the court to which they were appointed.

Helping him in this was the well-known former head of the High Qualification Commission of Judges and, at the same time, an NABU agent — Koziakov.

So we fully share the thesis about the need to reform this court, which long ago turned into a gathering of random lawyers who see the goal of their activity only as self-preservation, enrichment, and improving their living conditions.

We also noted that numerous pseudo-NGOs used this plenum as an additional media opportunity to advertise their corrupt model of yet another judicial reform. It looks rather ridiculous, given that they previously themselves moderated Filatov’s reform and called it effective and successful!

As a result, we ended up with a former head of the Supreme Court convicted of bribery, Supreme Court judges suspected of committing corruption offenses, members of the High Qualification Commission of Judges with foreign citizenship, fake academic degrees and under suspicion, and members of the High Council of Justice who are in constant conflicts of interest with most judges…

So maybe it’s long overdue to reform not only the Supreme Court’s activities in Ukraine, but also these pseudo-NGOs that, on a commercial basis and with foreign money, build their own model of state governance in which they themselves are the main beneficiaries?
