But the question should not just hang in the air

I recommend that the deputy address it to the law enforcement chain of command and the leadership of the prosecutor’s office: if the situation has reached such proportions, can law enforcement agencies not stop it?

And it’s also worth asking separately about the accountability of those who are connected to influence over that chain. In particular, it has been repeatedly mentioned in the public sphere about the influence of Chernivtsi businessman Illia Pavliuk on staffing and political processes, as well as about his long-standing ties to former Deputy Prosecutor General Ihor Mustetsa. People named Mustetsa as the person under whom the career of the current acting Prosecutor General Anton Kovalsky sharply advanced.

So the question is very simple: if a city council deputy with her own eyes sees that Chernivtsi is overflowing with drugs and stashes, what do law enforcement officers see — and what are they doing about it?

Because merely stating the problem is not enough. You must name those to whom the questions are addressed and demand answers from them.
