Explosions Heard in Kyiv and Kyiv Region: Fatalities Reported, Including a Child

In Kyiv, a second series of explosions this night struck the city as Russian forces attacked with ballistic missiles.

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of the threat of using ballistic weapons from the north.

An air alert was issued in the capital and in several regions.

“According to preliminary information, there is a fire on the territory of non-residential development in the Holosiivskyi district,” said Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko a short time later.

In addition, there was a report from the Obolon district about a fire in fuel storage tanks.

In the Kyiv region, three people were killed as a result of a drone attack, including a child.

In the Brovary district, three people, including a child, were killed as a result of an attack by Russian unmanned aerial vehicles; another three people were injured. This was reported by Kyiv regional state administration head Tymur Tkachenko on Telegram.

“As of now, in the Brovary district there are casualties across three locations from the enemy attack. Unfortunately, three people were killed, including a child. Three more were injured, also including a child. My sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased,” he wrote.

As a result of falling debris, a private residential house, outbuildings, and cars were damaged. There was also a fire at a non-residential building.

Rescuers and all necessary services are at the scene. Mitigation of the consequences continues, Tkachenko noted.

Later, the State Emergency Service clarified that among the three killed is a child, 2022 years old.

“In the village of Pukhivka, as a result of a hostile attack, a fire broke out in a two-story private residential house. The house, two gazebos, and two cars were destroyed by the fire,” the message says.

Another fire occurred in Pukhivka at the territory of an industrial enterprise, where an warehouse building caught fire as a result of the enemy attack.
