A Hungarian Named Five Conditions Under Which Russia Will Lose the War

Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' unmanned systems, Robert Brovdi, known by the call sign Madrar, on his 51-year anniversary named five conditions under which, in his view, the war Russia is waging against Ukraine could end. This is written by Glavkom with reference to Brovdi's Telegram channel post.

The commander began his post with personal reflections on life, which, he says, "consists of small things and details," with the essence hidden in the nuances. According to Brovdi, the enemy remains unrestrained and is not showing a willingness to stop. He did, however, emphasize an important nuance: this war is the first in modern history in which Ukrainians fight not on Russia's side, but against it, defending their own state.

Five conditions for ending the war

In Madar's view, hostilities will stop only when the aggressor physically loses the capability to:

pay for the war;

produce weapons;

defend their own rear;

send living forces to the slaughter;

sustain the illusion of stability and control within the country.

"Therefore, the only acceptable strategy is a systematic asymmetric depletion of the Russian Federation through the gradual dismantling of these five cornerstone pillars of the worm-eaten military machine," wrote Brovdi.

The commander of the SBS warned that Ukrainians will have to endure a more difficult period than so far, but urged to stay the course and act prudently. "Let's fight with our minds and mathematics. The intellect of the nation, deployed against the metropolis, a certain technological superiority, but the thirst for historical justice and freedom, and universal involvement—these are our effective weapons," he noted.

Madrar also drew a historical parallel, recalling Russia's plans to seize Kyiv "in three days" at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. "The war has already returned to where it began—from 'Kyiv in three days' to the fence to the worm's guts, which the 'Peter's underpass taught to strike first,'" the commander wrote.

Separately, Brovdi addressed the fighters of his unit—the legendary "Birds"—thanked them for their service and ordered them to "live and crush the enemy." He did not overlook his wife Natalia, whom the unit calls the "Wings": the servicewoman joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the autumn 2022 and has served alongside her husband since.

Brovdi concluded his post with a short, yet emotional, statement about the country’s future: "We will endure. Moscow will fall. We will reclaim Crimea and rebuild it."

In July, the unmanned systems forces hit over 53 thousand enemy targets, and the commander himself was awarded the Bohdan Khmelnytsky Order in July for personal merits in strengthening the state's defense capability.
