Presidential Advisor Flesch Urged Parents to Watch Teenagers and Elderly Relatives Due to RF Recruitment Threat

Advisor to the president Serhiy Flesh 13 in August urged parents to pay closer attention to teenage children and older relatives whom Russian intelligence can easily draw into spying on Ukrainian military facilities. According to him, the enemy is increasingly replacing GRU agents with ordinary people who are ready to record the activity of airfields or warehouses for money, and this is exactly the kind of case recently uncovered by the SBU. Flesh emphasized that punishment for such cooperation with the enemy is extremely severe.

The adviser spoke about a scheme uncovered by the Security Service of Ukraine: a recruited person created a Telegram channel and attracted another 13 people who lived near military airfields and recorded the movement of equipment. Serhiy Flesh wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

"Why need professional GRU agents, why need expensive satellites, why need expensive equipment when there is a much simpler way — to look for traitors who love easy money," wrote Serhiy Flesh in his Telegram channel.

The adviser thanked the Security Service of Ukraine for effective work and noted that the agency's public press releases are only a small part of what is actually done against the enemy's agent networks.

"I can only add a request to parents to watch their teenage children, who may not yet understand what they are doing. And even more closely monitor the older relatives who can be easily deceived. A life imprisonment in such situations is a common practice," wrote Serhiy Flesh.

SBU uncovered a spy network near air bases

Flesh referred to an investigation by the Security Service, which 13 in August reported the exposure of a GRU intelligence network involving 14 individuals who hunted for information about aircraft F-16 and Mirage 2000. According to the SBU, initially a Lviv resident who ran a Telegram channel about aviation was recruited to cooperate, and he later "recruited" another 13 subscribers with cameras near air bases.

Head of the SBU Oleksandr Poklad noted that the agency systematically counteracts attempts by the enemy to destabilize the rear and strengthens the counterintelligence regime.

"Anyone who agrees to work in the interests of the Russian Federation should understand: the SBU will definitely hold you to account," said Oleksandr Poklad, the head of the SBU.

Russians are seeking new ways to recruit Ukrainians
