In Poltava Region, three investigations opened into recruitment center staff seen wearing balaclavas

In the Poltava region, three internal investigations were launched at once regarding staff of recruitment centers who were seen wearing balaclavas. On 15 August, MP Oleksii Honcharenko reported this. According to him, the inquiries followed a field session of the Temporary Investigative Commission in Horishni Plavni, which reviewed several incidents involving balaclavas worn by recruitment center employees.

Honcharenko wrote about the situation on his Telegram channel. The MP reminded that wearing balaclavas by recruitment center employees directly contradicts current legislation. The commission is now awaiting official reports on the results of all three investigations.

"Because of these incidents, on behalf of the TIC I instructed the Poltava OTCK to investigate this, and thanks to that three internal investigations were carried out at once," Oleksii Honcharenko wrote.

The MP emphasized that everything must be carried out in accordance with the law, which prohibits recruitment center employees from wearing balaclavas.

"Everything must be according to the law, and the law PROHIBITS wearing balaclavas. I have raised this issue at TIC meetings more than once, and there are already results from this effort," Oleksii Honcharenko said.

Official reports on the results of the inspections are awaited

The Temporary Investigative Commission is currently waiting for reports on the internal investigations conducted at the Poltava OTCK. Honcharenko stated that the commission will continue to monitor compliance with the law in the activities of recruitment centers across the country.

The question of recruitment center staff behavior during mobilization activities remains one of the most pressing issues in society against the backdrop of the full-scale war. Complaints about the use of force, procedural violations, and improper conduct by military enlistment officers are regularly reviewed by the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada.

Scandals around recruitment centers continue across the country

Earlier, Informator reported that Honcharenko, at a Verkhovna Rada investigative commission meeting, was clarifying the circumstances of a case involving the use of pepper spray against teenagers by recruitment center staff in Lutsk. The MP personally questioned representatives of the recruitment center about this incident.

We also reported that in Zakarpattia the head of the Irshava OTCK was accused of a drunken brawl with a weapon. This case became another example of high-profile scandals related to the behavior of officials at recruitment centers.
