Night terror: Russians massively struck Zaporizhzhia and Izium in Kharkiv region (photos, video)

On the night of 18 August, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 147 strike UAVs of various types, including rocket-propelled ones. As of 08:00, air defense had shot down/suppressed 111 enemy drones in the north, south, and east of the country. Impacts of enemy drones were recorded at 19 locations, and debris from shot-down drones fell at 3 locations, the Air Force reported. Five people, including a 9-year-old boy, were injured as a result of the enemy attack on Izium in Kharkiv region. Five private houses were damaged in the city, reported the head of Kharkiv region, Oleh Syniehubov. “In the morning of 18 August, at about 04:05, Russian forces struck the city of Izium. An impact was recorded in the northern part of the city (in the area of the bread factory). The enemy used Tornado-S MLRS. As a result of the enemy shelling, about 20 private residential houses were damaged,” the Military-Commercial Administration (MVA) clarified. An enemy drone hit a gas station in the Industrial district of Kharkiv, reported the city mayor, Ihor Terekhov. During the day the enemy attacked civilian infrastructure in Odesa region in several waves. Six people were injured, including two 16-year-old children. All the injured are receiving all necessary medical care. Two people were killed and four others injured as a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia, Zaporizhzhia district, and Polohy district. In Kherson region, due to Russian aggression, 2 people were killed and another 10 were wounded. The enemy attacked four districts of Dnipropetrovsk region more than 30 times with drones and artillery. Enterprises, infrastructure, trucks, and housing were damaged. A 19-year-old girl was injured. In Chernihiv region, a 59-year-old woman was injured as a result of Russian attacks. The enemy attacked Koriukivka district twice. Due to falling UAVs, 2 outbuildings caught fire, a mobile crane and a combine harvester were damaged, a storage building and several tons of coarse fodder were destroyed. On the morning of 18 August, Kyiv region is under a large-scale drone attack. In Brovary, an office, warehouses, and a private house were damaged. A large fire broke out. Thick smoke rose over the city, local pages write. As FACTS reported, on the night of 17 August Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 128 strike unmanned aerial vehicles. Air defense destroyed or suppressed 106 enemy UAVs. Impacts were recorded at 14 locations, and debris from shot-down drones was recorded at two locations.
